Chapter 12

When Miguel woke up he had a killer headache. He didn’t remember how or when he got home but he was on the couch fully dressed. He walked into the kitchen to get a bottle of water. He had to be in the studio later and he had to be on point. Now that his reputation was on shaky ground he wanted nobody to have anything to say negatively about his music.

“Baby!” he called out

There was no answer.

“Baby!” he called again. Porsha didn’t respond.

He walked up the stairs and opened their bedroom door. Porsha lay there underneath the covers in a deep sleep. Miguel walked over to her and knelt down beside her. He kissed her lips. She was so beautiful and the best thing that had happened to him. He put her through hell and back time after time and she always stayed. Most women would have left his doggish ways alone in the beginning.

It was only six months ago that she took him back after she caught him in bed with one of her friends. That situation took a lot out of her literally.

She left for a week to attend Fashion Week in New York. Networking was something that she had no problem doing and attending such a publicized event was the mecca for getting some good modeling gigs. Things didn’t pan out the way she hoped so she caught a flight home early. She wanted to surprise Miguel so she didn’t call to come pick her up at the airport. When she got home she noticed that the house was unusually dark. Normally the housekeeper would open the blinds and pull back the drapes so that the warm sun would shine in. Porsha paid it no mind and walked upstairs. Through her bedroom door she could hear the stereo playing. When she opened the door she saw clothes on the floor and a messy bed. An empty champagne bottle was turned over on the floor.

A knot formed in her throat and moved down to her stomach as she walked further into the room and closer to the bathroom. The sound of water and voices became clearer. She turned the knob and to her surprise, her best friend since first grade was in the Jacuzzi tub riding Miguel and kissing him passionately. His hands palmed her firm ass as she bounced causing the water to splash on the tile floor.

Porsha quietly left and ran to the kitchen. Rage had taken over her senses and she picked out the biggest knife she could find. She returned to the bedroom and opened the bathroom door once again. The cheating twosome was still fucking when Porsha walked in with the knife extended.

“Somebody better start explaining this shit.” She said in a calm tone.

“Baby, what are you doing here?” a shocked Miguel stuttered

Claudia let out a shrill scream and covered her mouth as Porsha inched closer.

“Shut the fuck up bitch.”

“Baby put down the knife.”

“I said explain.” Her voice was emotionless and cold

“You were out of town and I was bored.
